„MELANGE“, Austrian Art in the LEX
As the name suggests, the “Melange” exhibition underscores the diversity of its repertoire with a carefully curated and deliberately varied mix of artists. The exhibition represents all different lines of artistic development with a “melange” of inspired Austrian artworks from the fields of film, photography, sculpture, painting and performance art. These exhibits address various social topics and enter into an open dialogue in this joint exhibition in the LEX building. Art by Austrians living in Belgium is a key focal point of the exhibition, which includes pieces by Silvia Bauer, Gundi Falk, Dieter Grohmann, Kurt Ryslavy, Sigrid Sandker, Anna Mackowitz, Elisabeth Melkonyan, Birgit Pleschberger, Elfie Bescos, Ursula Frank, Julia Brennacher, Raimund Seidl, Verena Bachner and Kurt Schöntaler.
The 25th edition of this exhibition of art from the country holding the presidency of the Council of the European Union was held in the Lex building, which is home to the organisation’s translation service.
