Amazing-Haydn: Mozart and Friends with the Concilium musicum Vienna

The Concilium musicum Vienna was founded in 1982 under the auspices of the Haydn-Gesellschaft Vienna. It aims at drawing attention to the life and work of Joseph and Michael Haydn. The extensive repertoire of the Concilium musicum also encompasses a number of works by forgotten composers and rarely performed works by the foremost masters of classical music.

The ensemble plays in various line-ups, always performing with original instruments from the period around 1800. This concert is entirely dedicated to works by composers who were very close to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, including none other than Joseph Haydn.
