Museums tell the tales of Europe, its people, roots and shared traditions. This function is evident in the unique richness of the international collections and artistic treasures of the Austrian Federal Museums. They embody the European idea and the cultural diversity of Europe in a special way.

At Museum in a Nutshell in Brussels, Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien (KHM), the Albertina, the Belvedere, the Museum moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig Wien and MAK – Austrian Museum of Applied Arts / Contemporary Art present works from their collections. In the smallest of spaces, it lets visitors immerse themselves in the Vienna museum landscape. Based on masterpieces from the collections of the Austrian federal museums, the miniature exhibition delves into topics of European politics, society and history, bringing together European values and works. A virtual 360° tour through the collections of the KHM lets this museum be enjoyed with all the senses.
