eu space sculpture
Brigitte Kowanz, Lois Weinberger and Markus Hofer present installations and sculptures in the eu space sculpture in the Tournay-Solvaypark to mark the Austrian EU Council Presidency. Their works create a dialogue between art and nature. Brigitte Kowanz’s installations can be described as conceptual poetry, with light acting as the origin of life within space and time. Lois Weinberger is working on a poetic-political network to turn attention to marginal zones and issues of various kinds. Markus Hofer, for his part, playfully shifts perception away from the habitual, thereby opening up new ways of seeing.
Complementary to the installations in Tournay-Solvaypark, works by the three artists can be admired at the venues of the Dorotheum (Rue aux Laines 13, 1000 Brussels).
