6th Computer Security Incident Response Teams' (CSIRTs) Network Meeting
The European Network and Information System Security Directive (NIS Directive) stipulates that a network of national Computer Security Incident Response Teams (CSIRTs) has to be established. According to this all member states should have the appropriate technical and organisational capabilities to prevent, detect, respond to and mitigate network and information system incidents. In order to meet these essential requirements to guarantee effective and compatible capabilities to deal with incidents and risks, the member states should have well-functioning CSIRTs. Regular international CSIRTs network meetings take place to strengthen the international cooperation on cybersecurity and to promote swift and effective operational cooperation as well as to build up trust and confidence between member states.
