Meeting of EU directors responsible for pharmaceutical policy on improving the availability of medicinal products

At the meeting strategies for topical questions regarding pharmaceutical policies shall be discussed and developed. During the event policy briefs on “incentives in the pharmaceutical system” of the European Observatory, as well as the recently published study on Supplementary Protection Certificates (SPC) by the European Commission will be presented. Main focus will be put on the problem of access in specific European markets. The legal basis for supply obligations according to the regulations for the authorisation of medicines will be discussed. In addition, it is planned to have a strategic discussion on the importance of the pharmaceutical policy for current political debates.
