On 16 November 2018, the symposium for the 11th European Antibiotic Awareness Day will be hosted by the Federal Ministry for Labour, Social Affairs, Health and Consumer Protection in cooperation with the Austrian national reference centre for nosocomial infections and antibiotic resistance, the Austrian Agency for Health and Food Safety and the University for Veterinary Medicine, Vienna. The event will take place in the Austria Center Vienna, Bruno Kreisky-Platz 1, 1220 Vienna. This year, the event will be organised under the Austrian Presidency of the Council of the EU. During the presidency, numerous high-level ministerial meetings will take place in the Austria Center Vienna., making both special security measures and a two‑stage registration procedure necessary.
