Board Meeting of the European Network of Public Employment Services (PES)

Decision No 573/2014/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on enhanced cooperation between Public Employment Services (PES) established the European Network of Public Employment Services in June 2014, following years of informal European cooperation between PES based on EU-funded mutual learning activities known as the "PES to PES Dialogue". The network has a board made up of the Heads of PES and Commission representatives. In addition, a PES expert group of Advisors for European PES Affairs (AFEPAs) meets twice a year in Brussels and prepares the work of the PES board. Areas of activity cover all the areas mentioned in Decision 573/2014/EU, with a particular focus on PES benchlearning and mutual learning activities, such as supporting the exchange on the integration of young people and long-term unemployed into the labour market.
