Meeting of Directors General for Higher Education

The meeting of director generals will take place at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna on 18-19 October. The directors will discuss the new proposal for a successor program for Erasmus+ and the proposal for a post 2020 framework for education and training. The participants will be also informed about the ministerial Bologna Conference held in Paris in May 2018.

The aim of the meeting is to make a substantial contribution to the ongoing negotiations for an Erasmus+ follow-up programme.

The meeting will also discuss the social dimension in higher education, a special selected theme by the Austrian Presidency. The participants will have a follow-up discussion regarding the outcomes of the general conference "The New Student: Flexible Learning Paths and Future Learning Environments".
