FFG FORUM 2018: Annual conference of the Austrian Research Promotion Agency FFG

The annual FFG FORUM gives representatives from research, industry, administration and politics the opportunity to discuss future-oriented topics relevant to promoting Austria's research strength and innovative capacity. In line with the Austrian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the theme of the FFG FORUM 2018 will be “Best of Austria meets Europe”. EU Commissioner Carlos Moedas will give a keynote speech. After the awarding ceremony for the “Nurturing Talents Prize”, the significance and impact of innovation will be discussed from various perspectives in thematic panels. The evening part of the event will offer a mix of information, entertainment and ample opportunities for networking. The aim is to highlight the diverse impacts of innovation, and to provide an overview of the focal points and status of negotiations for the next EU Framework Programme “Horizon Europe” which is beginning to take shape during the Austrian EU Council Presidency.
