Informal meeting of the EU Political Directors

The informal meeting of the EU Political Directors will in five working level meetings deal with current foreign policy issues. The priorities of the common foreign and security policy (CFSP) for the second semester 2018 are presented as usual. In view of recent events, Iran and the transatlantic relations will also be discussed (in the presence of Acting Under Secretary for Political Affairs Stephen Mull). The second day of the meeting will be dedicated to key topics of the Austrian foreign policy: South-East Europe (with Stefan Lehne, Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, as a guest) and the strengthening of multilateral structures.
