Union for the Mediterranean Senior Officials' Meeting

The Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) was launched in 2008. This year, it celebrates its 10th anniversary. The UfM has 43 member states (28 EU member states as well as 15 Mediterranean states including Israel and Turkey). Based in Barcelona, the UfM is a platform for political dialogue and regional cooperation. So far it has launched more than 50 cooperation projects with a total value of approximately 5.3 billion euros. Several times a year Senior Officials meet to coordinate the activities of the UfM and approve new projects.
