JPO Austrocar

As part of the Austrian Presidency and based on the Council decision 2004/919/EC, the Federal Criminal Police Office (II/BK/3.2) has initiated and is planning the international Joint Police Operation (JPO) AUSTROCAR with the aim to fight cross-border vehicle crime. The JPO AUSTROCAR will pursue in particular the following objectives: the fight against the organised theft of vehicle parts, research on online platforms on the internet and darknet to identify receivers and the control of second-hand vehicle and spare parts dealers.
