Security Research Event (SRE) 2018

Under the theme "Making Europe a safer place: demonstrating the impact of EU‑funded security research", the Security Research Event (SRE) 2018 demonstrates the strength and inspiring results of security-related research and innovation activities and how these positively contribute to the work being conducted on a daily basis by thousands of security practitioners. The SRE consists of two interrelated parts: a conference addressing the main challenges related to the theme of the event and an exhibition showcasing the results of some 50 projects and thus providing concrete examples of the  conference’s theme. SRE 2018 gathers 800 participants representing a wide range of security stakeholders: researchers, industry representatives, public security providers and practitioners (for example fire departments, police forces and border guard and law enforcement agencies), as well as a large number of policymakers from across Europe.
