Towards an Efficient and Effective European Public Prosecutor’s Office

Council Regulation (EU) 2017/1939 implementing enhanced cooperation on the establishment of the European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO) entered into force in November 2017. According to the current planning, the EPPO shall assume its investigative and prosecutorial tasks by January 2021.

The conference aims at contributing to a common understanding, interpretation and implementation of the Regulation in order enable the EPPO to prove its full potential in investigating and prosecuting crimes affecting the financial interests of the Union.
